I love my pool.  When we moved into this house about 7 years ago it was a mud pit filled with broken tile surrounded by chipped concrete.  It went with the general condition of the entire house and property. My husband assured me we could fix everything. It was hard work and I remember muttering to my self that, “Cher would never do this” as I dragged cart after cart of debris from the pool and house. (I don’t know what Cher has to do with anything but I have had a fixation on her every since I was 6 or so.)

Over the years the house has come together it is still a work in progress. Every day it takes some maintenance to keep it all going. Each morning I go out scrap, vacuum and clean filters.  I don’t lament about Cher anymore. I take this time to meditate. It starts my day by getting me in the moment. I breathe, clear my mind and let everything go. The point of this little missive is that life is not always pleasant or easy and just for today take whatever task in front of you, clear your mind and use the time to silence the chatter, make room for the creative ideas, and good thoughts. Think of it as hitting the refresh button. You can do it at anytime and give yourself a fresh screen to work from.
