Lecture Information

For the last 18 years I have been speaking at colleges, conferences, performing stand-up and a one-women show all over the country and internationally. I have spoken to groups as diverse as 40,000 scientists, doctors and researchers at an international conference in Switzerland to little old ladies at a rural Lutheran church in New Jersey. They say you need to find a niche in the speaking world. Who is your audience? My audience is anyone who is looking for a combination of humor, entertainment and inspiration.

This presentation stimulates thinking about the choices you make and helps you to realize that at anytime you can recreate your life into the dreams that are in your heart.

My start was rocky, pitted with obstacles-homelessness, depression, assault, and alcoholism. My awaking was slow and riddled with even more battles, death of a husband, two terminal illnesses, financial ruin. And then there was always the mundane things in life that almost all of us struggles with-weight, relationships, the mortgage. It felt like a never ending swim upstream.

I read the books-The Bible, Koran, Bhagavad Gita, The Torah, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra and watched Oprah looking for the answer. I did affirmations, cleaned my chakras and saluted the sun trying to find happiness, peace and freedom. The answer came  in 1988 while cleaning my dingy 6th floor apartment in New York City. As I scrubbed the pitted floor I realized I was happy. That it  was never anything outside myself that could “fix“ me. It was all about giving myself the space to recognize I had everything I needed all along. Through stories and humor that is what I bring to your event.  If you are looking for a speaker who can help your group re-evaluate everyday difficulties from office politics to lack of motivation, introduce a different persepective to overcoming challenges big and small and make you laugh at the same time, give me a call, send me an e-mail and lets see if we can work together to have a great event!
